NeoRouter software continues innovation with launch of new Android app, IOS app and HTML5 applications and is trying to build the bridge between the popular tablet/mobile devices and traditional computers.

What's new

* NeoRouter Remote Access for Android
The new NeoRouter Remote Access Client for Android allows users to remotely access the computers using the full featured built-in addons, including RDP client, VNC client, FTP/SFTP client, Telnet/SSH client and Wake-on-Lan.

* NeoRouter Remote Access for IOS
The new NeoRouter Remote Access Client for IOS allows users to remotely access the computers using the full featured built-in addons, including RDP client, VNC client, FTP/SFTP client, Telnet/SSH client and Wake-on-Lan.

Note: The app will be available in the iTune App Store.

* NeoRouter Remote Access (HTML5)
The web-based application, which adopts HTML5 technologies, can be running in Chrome or Safari browsers on both PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone/iPod, Android tablets/phones and so on. No installation, nor permission is required. It comes with the full featured built-in addons, including RDP client, VNC client, FTP/SFTP client, Telnet/SSH client and Wake-on-Lan.

* NeoRouter Professional for Raspberry Pi

* nrsetup
A new setup tool is included in the server packages for all non-windows platforms. One can run the tool to setup NeoRouter domain and account easily.

* New addons
NeoRouter Network Explorer and Portable version come with new built-in addons, including vnc client, ssh client, sftp client

* Account lock out control
Lock out user account after invalid sign in attempts.


Changes:

* NeoRouter Web Console
The web-based Configuration Explorer provides the same features as the Windows based Configuration Explorer. So one can manager NeoRouter server running on any platforms with this tool.

* Drop the Network Bridge feature
From this release, NeoRouter Professional does not support Network Bridge feature anymore, hence it does not support point-to-site and site-to-site VPN neither. However, we are working on a new product called NeoRouter Connector, that will implement the similar feature using a new approach.


Note:
1. NeoRouterHD for Android/IOS and NeoRouter Remote Access Client are designed for tablets, it can still run on devices with small screen or low resolution.

2. The VNC client is optimized for tightvnc server. One can get better performance with tightvnc server than other vnc servers.

3. NeoRouter Professional has no limitation to mobile clients (NeoRouterHD for Android/IOS) and web clients (NeoRouter Remote Access Client). There is no limitation to the concurrent sessions in each mobile client or web client has maximum.

4. If you had previously purchased a NeoRouter Pro v1 product, you must purchase an upgrade license in order to use the NeoRouter v2 product. Please visit upgrade center for more information. You can also install NeoRouter v2 today and start a 30-day trial of the new features.

5. We will keep maintaining and fix bugs in NeoRouter Pro v1 product, but will not add new features to it.

We're very excited to announce that NeoRouter Professional v2.0.0.4080 is now available for download.

In this release we fixed several critical bugs reported since last build. We also added vpn mode to the Android client.

What's new

NeoRouter Pro for Android enables users to remotely access and manage Windows, Mac and Linux computers right from your Android devices. From this version, NeoRouter for Android supports the both native VPN mode and tunnel mode.

On devices with Android 4.x and above, NeoRouter for Android operates in VPN mode. User can seamlessly access remote computers by their virtual IP addresses using any app.

On devices with Android 3.x and below, NeoRouter for Android operates in Tunnel mode. User needs to configure dynamic or static port forward tunnels. It only works with apps that use outgoing TCP connections.

Bug fixes

* Fixed ACL related issues in nrserver.

This bug may cause NeoRouter Remote Access Pro (HTML5) and NeoRouter Remote Access Client Pro Chrome Extension:

a. show the computer list improperly. It didn't hide the blocked computers, instead show the full computer list

b. cannot create connections to the remote computers when using addons. This happens when the Default User gets assigned "Block All" ACL permission.

c. ACL/Firewall settings do not work properly. A remote computer can still be access from NR web clients, even ACL has been applied.


* Fixed title bar missing issue in NeoRouter Network Explorer on Windows vista or above

When NeoRouter Network Explorer got minimized and restored on Windows Vista/7/8/2008/2012, it could hide the title bar of the main window.


Note:

* It is highly recommended to upgrade the NeoRouter server if using the NeoRouter web applications.

* This release affects :
a. NeoRouter server for Windows/Mac OSX/Linux/FreeBSD/Raspbian/in-a-box
b. NeoRouter client for Android/Windows/Mac OSX

Other packages do not change.

* From NeoRouter Pro client for Android 2.0.0.4080, it is not compatible with v1.x server anymore. However, you can always get the v1.x packages for Android from http://www.neorouter.com/downloads_nrpro_3790.html

In this release we fixed several critical bugs reported since last build.

Bug fixes

* Fixed ACL issues for NeoRouter Remote Access Pro (HTML5) and NeoRouter Remote Access Client Pro Chrome Extension in nrserver.
When using ACL rules, NeoRouter Remote Access Pro (HTML5) and NeoRouter Remote Access Client Pro Chrome Extension didn't show the same behaviour as standard client.

a. When using ACL, if the Default User has "Block All" option, one will get error message when using addons

b. When using NeoRouter Configuration Explorer or Web Console to change ACL settings, it does not update NeoRouter clients properly.

* Fixed the UI skin issue in NeoRouter Network Explorer and NeoRouter Portable
It didn't show the scrollbar properly

Note:

* It is highly recommended to upgrade the NeoRouter server if using the NeoRouter web applications.

* This release affects :
a. NeoRouter server for Windows/Mac OS X/Linux/FreeBSD/Raspbian/tomato/OpenWrt backfire
b. NeoRouter client for Windows
